A library is a place where comprehensive information on various topics and subjects can be found. The presence of having a library in a town enables the people living in the town to read more and acquire knowledge and language skills at the same time.
Sadly, more and more youngsters nowadays are not picking up good reading habits. Reading is deemed as a chore by them and for convenience sake, most of them would prefer comics and cartoons over novels. Hence, in order to entice more people to pick up reading, the National Library Board proposed a list of activites and one of which includes being able to borrow six books instead of the ususal four books.
Let's hope that with more library activities in place, more people will flock to the library. Afterall, an educated nation will lead to a more developed nation.
